Deciding
on whether to take your Caribbean yacht
charter on a sailing boat, luxury catamaran
or motor yacht is the next decision. Although
largely a personal preference, your budget
may be an influencing factor.
All of the crewed yachts
we present to you will be maintained to
the highest standards. Each yacht will
provide areas shaded from the sun and
a choice of dining inside or al fresco.
Although most of the time you’ll
be on deck, the majority of yachts feature
excellent entertainment and communication
systems.
Monohulls
(Sailboats)
Very
popular in areas particularly suited to
sailing, ie the Caribbean, especially
sailing vacations in the BVI
and The Grenadines.
They are generally less expensive for
a given length than their multi-hulled
peers. Ideal for those who have had some
previous sailing experience and who aren't
concerned about the motion of a yacht.

Catamaran
Sailing Vacations
Ideal
if you want to enjoy the thrill of sailing
and are looking for a more ‘stable’
ride. Catamarans can get close to the
shore and don’t roll at anchor.
They also offer passengers ease of access
to the water -ideal for children or less
agile guests.
Luxury
charter catamarans have enormous relative
space and a large cockpit area which makes
for comfortable seating while underway.
If you are hoping to take part in some
kitesurfing in the BVI
or St Lucia,
chartering a catamaran is ideal because
of the space on-deck for storing equipment.
Catamarans have equal staterooms, which
are usually ensuite.

Luxury
Power Boats
Tend
to provide more luxurious accommodation
and obviously enables a speedy arrival
to your chosen destination, if that’s
an important consideration.
Motor
yachts under 80ft tend to charter in more
protected areas (for example, the British
Virgin Islands). If you're thinking
about chartering a motor yacht in Antigua,
St Martin or
St Lucia, you
will find the choice enormous. Motor yachts
larger than 100ft are largely unaffected
by the greater distances to be travelled
between islands.
