Martinique
Martinique is the
largest of the Windward Islands and is
like visiting a little piece of France
with a tropical twist.
The famous volcano, Mount Pele, in the
North, is the highest point of the island
and is surrounded by rivers, waterfalls
and lush vegetation. The south features
beautiful sandy beaches. There are several
small villages in Martinique, each with
its own main market and church. Throughout
the island there are several boutiques
and excellent restaurants, cafes and bars.
Considered a part of main land France,
provisioning in Martinique is superb.
Most
charters start out of Le Marin, which
is close to the airport.
